Is active, a statement of faith.
It’s “overcoming daily with the Spirit’s sword”
Just as the old time Hymn saith.
Standing, standing, standing
Repeated for emphasis! Filling one’s being!
A chorus, designed for echoing -
Those authors knew how to sing!
Four stanzas and a chorus
Mentions God, Spirit and Christ
Winding words to support all of us
Ending with our eternal rest.
The Hebrew word ‘AMEK’
Translates to ‘steadfast’ and ‘firm’
